The UEFA Champions League is the premier club tournament for soccer in Europe. Qualifying is complete and the draw for the group stages has been ended. Manchester City (English Champion) will face stiff competition as they have to play Real Madrid (Spanish Champion), Ajax (Netherland Champion) and Borussia Dortmund (German Champion). The other 3 English teams in the tournament have easier roads to the knockout stages. The draw has set the stage for a very interesting tournament.

There is still plenty of time for festivities and all of the major speakers are still scheduled to speak. Do you think this will have an impact on the Presidential race? Typically conventions are a great way to gain voters and most candidates receive a bump in the polls following one, but with the shortened convention and the Democrats convention coming up Romney may have caught some bad luck.
