As almost all of his competition (except Ron Paul) has decided to throw in the towel, Mitt Romney is all alone to take the nomination of the Republican Party. He was, from the start, the assumed nominee; but he did not make it easy on himself. Gaff after gaff, expensive race after expensive race, he ended up spending more and campaigning more than he thought he had to do. But the time is now for him to turn to the general election and an opponent that will not be as easy or forgiving of his gaffs and blunders. The President is a born campaigner. He can administer a staff, raise more money than most colleges operate with and he is a great speaker. Mitt on the other hand is a tested campaigner and has a wealth of knowledge on how to administer a campaign staff. He has been able to raise more money than any Republican in recent years (it also helps that he has a personal wealth to draw funds from) and he simply out spent his rivals during the primary. His gaffs as a public speaker are well known, luckily Americans do not elect a person based solely on if they can speak correctly (GWB, Jefferson etc.). A recent pole by Fox News shows the race between Former Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama as a dead heat (46% to 46%). So get ready for a long race, heated race.
