Clearly the Chief of the NRA has not gotten the point yet. Mr. Wayne LaPierre continues to attack the President throughout this process and I feel he will never get the message. PEOPLE WANT A GUN CONTROL BILL! Simple as that. Polls show the overwhelming majority of the country support a national gun registry, an assault rifle ban and a ban on large magazine clips. It is time for the Chief and the NRA to get in line with what the public wants. We are tired of random acts of gun violence. We are tired of shootings at grade schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, movie theaters, shopping malls, gas stations, side walks, in our homes. Enough is enough. Stop fighting it. The law states (DC v. Heller) makes it clear that we all have the right to bear arms, but assault weapons are not covered, tanks are not covered, bazookas, grenade launchers are not covered. Military grade weapons meant to kills large amounts of people should not be allowed to be in the hands of people that plan to kill large amounts of innocent Americans.
Every time the President speaks we do not need to hear from the Chief of the NRA bashing the President and making the process more difficult. The public is overwhelmingly against your positions Mr. Wayne LaPierre and in this country the Constitution of the United States protects the public's interests not your own.
