It is widely expected that today the nation's largest healthcare insurer will announce that it will keep major sections of President Obama's healthcare bill. The sections are contained in the "Patients Bill of Rights," and include preventative-care services, without copays or out of pocket charges, children can stay on parents plan until age 26, keep the appeals process outlined in the law, no life time limits on payouts and no rescinding coverage for an illness (except in cases when the person lied to the insurance company on their application). The industry seems to have already been moving in this direction before the President's bill was passed into law, but UnitedHealthcare is the first major insurer to commit to these sections.
