The ban on women serving in combat roles will soon be lifted, but what does that mean for the future of our fighting force? Women are currently serving in front line combat roles in military's all around the world with no real issue. They have shown that they are more than capable of handling combat situations and have proven it for countries such as Israel. Women have been serving in our armed forces for some time now and have excelled in a variety of roles but have been held back from being allowed to fight on the front lines. For a variety of reasons (mostly fabricated to keep them off the front line) they have been kept behind the front lines serving in support roles at every level. But that will change and I think it is a change for the good. Women have strengths that would be of benefit to having them on the front lines and they would be a welcome asset to our front line force as they have been a welcome asset to every role they have been put in. At the end of the day any person male or female is capable of tremendous things if trained properly and put in a position to succeed If our military is trained and well equipped then they will be able to carry out most missions.
